Job posters post available opportunities for free at this site, by country, state/province, city and industry, and to also search and view résumés of career seekers using industry and skills as search criteria.

Job seekers search for matching opportunities by industry within state/province, city and country. Searches can be narrowed by specifying skill sets within industry.

Job seekers can post their résumé for FREE at this site for viewing by potential employers.

An account must be created for posting job opportunities. While it's not necessary to create an account to search and find job opportunities, a job seeker needs to create an account if he/she wishes to post a résumé for consideration by potential employers.

  • Obtain the name of the person that will interview you (if possible).
  • Research potential employer's domain. Visit web-site and learn about products and key personnel.

  • Turn-off your mobile phone before the interview (leaving it in vibrate mode is not sufficient).
  • Greet the interviewer(s) and introduce yourself by name. Shake hands firmly.
  • Answer questions clearly and to the best of your knowledge. Write-down keywords and draw diagrams on paper or whiteboard as needed.
  • Look in to the interviewer's eyes when answering a question posed to you.
  • Leave discussion about compensation, package etc... towards the end of the interview.
  • When asked, mention the benefits that you'd like to receive as remuneration. Don't be vague about the benefits.
  • Clarify whether retirement-benefits (e.g. 401k matching) and medical/dental insurance is part of the offer.
  • When asked, present the list of work/character references.
  • Always thank the interviewers at the end of the interview (whether or not you think you did well).
  • You may receive a call or an email on the very same day or a few days/weeks after the interview. Answer/respond promptly and try to remember the interview you had with that potential employer.
  • Be prepared to negotiate remuneration. Don't always accept the first offer, negotiate and accept what you think is reasonable for your strengths and qualifications.

  The interview
Conducting interview - Promising Jobs
  • Research market rates for the position available. Consider what will be the minimum rate you will offer and the maximum rate you can offer.
  • Schedule the interview with the candidate for no more than 45 to 60 minutes.
  • Select at least two interviewers - one should be from the area of expertise that is being sought, and the other from the H/R department.
  • Inform the receptionist about the candidate and who/where the candidate should be directed to when he/she arrives at your office.
  • Have printed copies of candidate's résumés to distribute among the interview panel members.
  • Prepare and have a marking sheet for each of the candidate's strengths. This should include expertise areas as well as personality traits areas.
  • Make sure all interview panel members are reminded of the interview at least 15 minutes prior to the interview.
  • Begin the interview with the assumption that the candidate is suitable for the position being considered. Shake hands and greet the candidate in a friendly manner.
  • Introduce your company and the interview panel briefly then ask the candidate to introduce himself/herself. Make sure this whole process does not take more than 5 minutes.
  • Pose general interview questions first and then move on to more specific questions. The interview panel should be posing questions and waiting for the candidate replies. Make sure the interview panel does not interrupt the candidate too many times. Overall the ratio of panel to candidate speech duration should be 1 to 3 or better.
  • Watch for signs that the candidate is interested in this position with your company. If you notice the mobile phone ringing or beeps from incoming text messages, it's best not to consider that candidate any further.
  • If during the interview, it is felt that the candidate is not suitable for the position, it is best to end the interview at that point in a polite manner rather than continue with the process.
  • If during the interview, it is felt that the candidate is suitable, towards the end of the interview ask about compensation expectations. Write down the expectations. Inquire when the employee will be available to accept the position if an offer is made. Obtain work references that include telephone numbers and email addresses.
  • It's best not to make a hiring decision right at the end of the interview process.
  • At the end of the interview, briefly inform him/her how they did in your opinion and whether they can look forward to hearing from.
  • End the interview on a friendly note whether or not you intend to make an offer later.
  • Once all the candidates that applied for the position have interviewed, select the best 2 or 3 candidates and follow-up on the work references. Ask about the strengths and weaknesses.
  • Select the best candidate(s) and make suitable offer(s). Be prepared to negotiate compensation.
  • Confirm employment offer in writing - this can be a scanned letter that is emailed to the candidate. Request candidate to sign and accept the offer officially.
